Scott Grayson

Sports Director
sgrayson@wboy.com | Phone: 304-326-6728

Scott GraysonScott Grayson joined the 12 News team as Sports Director in August of 2005.

Before coming to WBOY-TV, Scott worked at WHP-TV in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania as the Weekend Sports Anchor. Scott has also worked in sports departments at WTAJ-TV in Altoona, Pennsylvania and KLST-TV in San Angelo, Texas.

Scott received a B.A. in Broadcasting from the Walter Cronkite school of Journalism and Telecommunications at Arizona State University. During his time in college, Scott worked at the campus radio station doing sports updates and sports talk shows. He also served as Sports Director there in his junior year.

Scott's love of sports began at an early age. He chased his dreams of playing professional sports through high school. When Scott realized those dreams were not going to happen he decided to do the next best thing, go into broadcasting and cover those sports.

Scott is one of those lucky sportscasters who has had the opportunity to cover a Super Bowl and the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has also interviewed athletes like Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, Terrell Owens, Donovan McNabb and many more.

If he is not at work, you will likely find Scott spending time with his wife Stephanie. If he is not doing that, than Scott is definitely chasing around a little white ball at one of the area's many golf courses.
