SHINNSTON -- The Shinnston and Lumberport fire departments were busy on the morning of Monday, Feb. 8.

Firefighters responded to a fire on Morris Street at about 8 a. m., according to the Harrison County 911 Center’s Web site.

They were at the scene until almost 10:30 a. m., according to 911 dispatchers.

The Worthington Fire Department and Harrison County EMS also responded to the fire.

As they made their way back to their respective stations, another call went out, this time for an accident on Gypsy Hill.

That accident was a car on its top, and two patients were taken to the hospital, the 911 Center Web site says.

Spelter and Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Departments also responded to the accident, and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
