FAIRMONT -- A garbage truck in Marion County buried its rear end in nearly six inches of asphalt Wednesday.
The Allied Services truck was attempting to head up a very steep Hampton Road in Bellview when the back end got stuck on U.S. Route 19.
Police had to divert traffic around the stranded truck.
A heavy-duty tow truck from was called in from Morgantown to pull the garbage truck free.
A crew immediately patched the holes with fresh asphalt.
